🥷 The Pocket Simulator? SLX MicroSim Reviewed by a Former Tour Pro
Imagine fixing your swing in your living room… with a sensor the size of a thumb drive and a stick that looks like a lightsaber.
Meet the SLX MicroSim — a fully mobile, glove-mounted golf simulator that claims to give you real swing data, game integration, and even GPS features.
Sounds like overkill in a Snap-On case, but here's what I found when I looked into it.
🧪 What Is the SLX MicroSim?
This thing is part mini launch monitor, part training stick, and part sci-fi gadget. It’s designed for indoor or outdoor golf practice — without needing a hitting net or a real ball.
It uses a 3D motion sensor that clips onto your glove or club grip, and pairs with your phone/tablet to analyze your swing. The Pro Stick gives you swing resistance if you don’t want to use a real club.
And yes, it works with E6 Connect, GSPro, and CreativeGolf — if you’ve got those setups running.
🎮 Key Features (Translation: Why It’s on WTF Golf Tech Radar)
✅ Motion Sensor tracks clubface angle, path, tempo, and swing speed
✅ Wireless + Rechargeable — lasts 5–6 hours
✅ Includes 1-year E6 Connect Lite
✅ Mobile-friendly: works with iOS, Android, and PC
✅ Pairs with a stick or your own clubs
That’s a lot of tech in something smaller than a divot tool.

🔎 Expert Take
As a former tour pro, I’ve seen a lot of training gear that overpromises and under-delivers. This… is kind of different.
The SLX MicroSim isn’t pretending to be a TrackMan, and that’s good. What it is, is a surprisingly solid little training tool for working on tempo, path, and clubface awareness — all without a launch monitor budget.
Would I use this to prep for Q-School? Hell no.
Would I use it to get my feels back during a snowstorm? Absolutely.

🧠Final Thoughts
This one won’t replace your coach — but it’s one of the most interesting budget-friendly simulators I’ve seen. For golfers who love tinkering, or hate putting on layers to practice in the cold, this one’s a WTF-worthy pick.
